Every working
professional needs to be able to interact effectively with others
in
one-on-one and in team situations.
To be able to do this, you need to know how you behave
in four critical
interpersonal skill areas.

to get more information on that workbook.
As well, you need to know how your behavior impacts the people
who work with you. The Competency
Styles® workbooks will
help you do both.
How do you use the core Competency Styles® workbooks?
Each workbook
starts with a set of work place scenarios. You describe how you
behave by selecting one of two possible choices in each scenario.
When you have completed the scenarios, you compile your results.
You then use your results to get insight into
your own behavior patterns in the five competency areas that make
up the workbook. You see how others behave in similar circumstances.
Once you have this self-awareness, you develop
your on-the-job skills by completing a a series of structured exercises.
Each workbook is complete in itself. You can use it by yourself.
You and a workmate each can order a copy, and work through the
results together. When you do this, you will increase the richness
of both of your development experiences. Or you could be asked
to complete it when you taking a course at a college or university,
or attending a professional development program.
